Here, you’ll find everything from user-gen content like that found on YouTube and MySpace to professional-produced videos from the likes of CNet, Hulu, Comedy Central, Funny or Die, CNBNC, Discovery Channel, Food Network, ESPN, HGTV, ABC, and more.

However, what’s different about this site compared to many other video portals is that, behind-the-scenes, their recommendation engine is scouring the site to find new video choices to present to you which match up with the type of content you find interesting. 3. GeoGTV.com - Worldwide Broadcast TV

GeogTV recently launched a geographical directory of live tv channel streams available online from all over the world. GeogTV is a global TV channel search engine providing web users with information and details on a worldwide database of TV channels in a social environment. It has a database that is searchable by keyword, city, state, region, country or continent. These streams are constantly being updated for your viewing pleasure. 4. BBC iPlayer

It’s the BBC’s catch-up TV service, providing free access to recent BBC TV shows.The BBC iPlayer streams content from up to 250 programs from the British Broadcasting Corporation. Next Wednesday the BBC and Nokia will be launching the iPlayer on the N96, as a kickoff for the media player’s eventual availabilityacross a variety of phones.

Hulu streams high-resolution, ad-supported videos of both television shows and movies. More specifically, the site distributes content by NBC-Universal, Fox, and a handful of their subsidiaries. Popular shows hosted by Hulu include The Daily Show, The Colbert Report, Battlestar Galactica, The Simpsons, The Office, and Saturday Night Live. The biggest complaint leveled against Hulu is its US-only restrictions, though many of you are using previously mentioned Hotspot Shield to access Hulu from outside the US. SurfTheChannel SurfTheChannel could be your new favorite site. It’s a television-show and -episode search engine, and while the actual videos aren’t hosted by SurfTheChannel, the service certainly makes it easy to find episodes of all of your favorite television shows on other video hosting sites and click through to watch them whenever you want to. It aggregates video from all over the internet—including sites like YouTube, MetaCafe, and Hulu (along with much more obscure sites)—then makes all of those videos available through a simple, searchable interface. It’s not always pretty, but the selection is huge. The downside: According to the STC homepage, the site will shut down on October 1st.
